Whole-body healing

Ayurvedic medicine in Rio Rancho for residents like you

Rio Rancho residents looking for Ayurvedic and naturopathic care often run into the same problem. The local options for root cause, lifestyle first medicine are limited, and the practitioners with the right credentials tend to be in Albuquerque proper. The drive matters less than people expect.

From most Rio Rancho neighborhoods, Healing Arts of Veda is about a 17 minute trip down NM-528 or Paseo del Norte, depending on where in Rio Rancho you start. For patients who would rather not make the drive, virtual visits via Zoom are available for the full course of care, including the initial consultation and every follow up after it.

This approach blends Ayurveda with naturopathic medicine to look at patterns in digestion, metabolic function, sleep, hormones, stress response, and emotional health, instead of isolating symptoms. Recommendations are customized to your individual constitution, daily habits, environment, and the specific concerns that brought you in.

As an Ayurvedic and naturopathic doctor serving Rio Rancho, Dr. Pranav Lad focuses on building sustainable health practices that strengthen the body and support long term vitality, not temporary fixes. Over time, patients often experience improved metabolic markers, better digestion, clearer thinking, steadier energy, and a calmer baseline.

Why this works here

Why Rio Rancho residents choose root-cause care.

Rio Rancho is the third largest city in New Mexico and the fastest growing, with a younger, more family oriented population than central Albuquerque. The patient mix skews toward Intel and Sandia families, working professionals, military and retired military, and people who relocated from larger metros and are surprised by how thin the alternative medicine options can be locally.

Most arrive with one of a few patterns: metabolic concerns the MD has told them to wait and watch, stubborn digestion that does not fit a diagnosis, hormone shifts with labs that come back normal, or a general sense of feeling unlike themselves. The Ayurvedic and naturopathic approach is built for exactly this gap. It uses diet, daily routine, targeted herbs, and a written plan to address the patterns underneath the symptoms, in coordination with your MD, not against them.

Good questions

Rio Rancho questions, answered.

If you have a question we did not cover, Dr. Lad is happy to walk you through it on the free 15 minute discovery call. No pressure, no surprises.

The clinic is at 10409 Montgomery Pkwy NE in northeast Albuquerque, roughly 17 minutes from most Rio Rancho neighborhoods via NM-528 or Paseo del Norte. Residents of Enchanted Hills, Cabezon, City Center, and the Loma Colorado area can typically be at the clinic in under 20 minutes outside of peak traffic. Patients who prefer to stay in Rio Rancho can book virtual visits via Zoom, which work equally well for most of our care.

Yes. Both initial consultations and follow ups are available via Zoom. The Ayurvedic intake (constitutional assessment, current imbalance, Agni and dosha evaluation, lab review, written protocol) translates well to virtual care. Most patients use a hybrid approach, an in person first visit followed by virtual follow ups, though either format works for the full course of care. The free 15 minute discovery call is by phone or Zoom.

The most common reasons are metabolic concerns (weight gain, fatigue, pre diabetes, lipid drift, blood pressure changes), digestive issues that have not responded to standard treatment, hormone shifts (perimenopause, low energy, thyroid concerns with normal range labs), chronic stress and sleep dysregulation, and a general sense of feeling unlike themselves with labs that come back normal. Many patients arrive after their MD has told them to wait and watch or offered a medication they are not ready to start.

The initial consultation is a 60 minute Ayurvedic intake at $199, in person at the clinic in northeast Albuquerque or via Zoom. It includes a full constitutional and current imbalance assessment, a review of any labs you bring in, a discussion of your current medications and how the protocol will work around them, and a written plan covering diet recalibration, daily routine (dinacharya), lifestyle interventions, and herbal recommendations if appropriate.

Insurance is not accepted. Healing Arts of Veda is a cash pay clinic, which is standard for naturopathic and Ayurvedic care in New Mexico. The initial consultation is $199 (60 minutes) and follow ups are $120 (30 minutes). Many patients use HSA or FSA accounts, which often reimburse these costs. Some submit superbills to their insurance for partial out of network reimbursement on the consultation portion, with mixed results.

A short 15 minute conversation by phone or Zoom. The point of the call is mutual evaluation. You describe what is going on, ask any questions, and get an honest read on whether this approach fits your situation. If it does not, Dr. Lad will say so and suggest a different direction. No commitment, no cost.
