Meet Dr. Pranav Lad, Ayurvedic & Naturopathic Doctor in Albuquerque
Root-cause, integrative care that blends Ayurveda, naturopathic medicine, and functional medicine, rooted in a family legacy of Ayurvedic teaching in New Mexico.
Dr. Pranav Lad, N.D.
A modern doctor raised in the world of Ayurveda
Dr. Pranav Lad, N.D., is the founder of Healing Arts of Veda in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He grew up immersed in the world of Ayurveda. His father is Dr. Vasant Lad, who founded The Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque in 1984 and is one of the most respected voices in bringing Ayurveda to the West. That heritage shaped how Pranav sees health, and it sits alongside a deeply conventional medical training rather than replacing it.
Pranav holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of New Mexico, a Doctor of Medicine from the Medical University of the Americas, and a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, now Sonoran University of Health Sciences. He is a board certified naturopathic general practitioner licensed in New Mexico and California, and he has taught at The Ayurvedic Institute since 2017, covering subjects from pathophysiology to Sanskrit.
At Healing Arts of Veda he practices an integrative model that blends Ayurveda, naturopathic medicine, and functional medicine principles. He works with adults on digestive health, metabolic and blood pressure balance, and stress and mood support, building individualized plans around diet, lifestyle, botanical formulas, and pragmatic supplement guidance. His focus is on the root causes behind chronic symptoms and on simple, sustainable steps that build real momentum over time. Care is available in person in Albuquerque and by secure video visit across the United States.
Trained in both modern medicine and the Ayurvedic tradition his father helped establish in the United States, Pranav offers a rare bridge between two systems of healing under one roof.

Care built around your body, not a one-size protocol
Dr. Lad looks past the symptom list to the patterns underneath it. His approach is collaborative, individualized, and grounded in both modern medicine and Ayurvedic tradition.
Root-cause thinking
Rather than managing symptoms in isolation, Dr. Lad works to understand the patterns driving them, so the plan supports lasting change instead of a quick patch.
Collaborative, not competing
He works alongside your conventional doctors, balancing pharmaceuticals when appropriate with evidence-informed natural care, so you never have to choose one world over the other.
Individualized protocols
No two plans look alike. Each one is built around your history, your goals, and what is realistic for your life, then adjusted as your body responds.
Diet, lifestyle, and botanicals
Practical guidance on food and daily rhythm sits at the center, supported where helpful by botanical formulas and pragmatic supplement recommendations.
